Boutique Up! Daily: the dos and don'ts of pitching to retailers

I love Boutique Up! Daily (BUD for short), and if you aren't a subscriber you really ought to be, especially if you are a business owner looking to place product or a retailer looking to add product. We posted about BUD back in September ("do you BUD?"), so if you're not familiar with it, read up!

For today's mompreneur monday feature I wanted to highlight this great little post from Boutique Up! Daily, which I think all women business owners will find helpful. In "What Retailers Want When You Pitch" Lisa gives readers a little taste of what will soon be a full article on a very important subject: pitching your product to retailers. Lisa spoke with several retailers about the did and didn't like when being pitched new products and the result is this post, a short yet very sweet list of do's and don'ts for us business owners.

What to do? Arrive prepared with line sheets, photos and pricing in hand. What not to do? Act like you have no competition or actually be unaware of your competition.
