2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?

• A necklace made by my BFF

3. What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle?

• A super cute apron

4. What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child?

• I remember totally loving this awesome pink winter coat!

5. What items are on your kid’s wish list this year?

• We haven't had a chance to make those yet but usually you'll find a Nintendo DS or Wii game

6. What is your favorite holiday food?

• Spinach dip in a sourdough bowl, soups on Christmas Eve and peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks
  

7. What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays?

• Hand-crafting? What's that? Do cookies for the neighbors count?
  

8. What is your favorite holiday movie?

• Elf and A Christmas Story

9. Favorite holiday song?

• "Let It Snow" and "Ave Maria" by Harry Connick Jr., the entire Barenaked for the Holidays CD and of course anything that reminds me of Christmas mornings as a child.

10. Favorite holiday pastime?

• Enjoying a real fire in the fireplace at my parents' home with the entire family there, hitting Temple Square in Salt Lake City to see the ginormous number of lights and opening new PJ's on Christmas Eve.

The great escape!

Thanks to Rachael I was tagged...time for a meme!

1. If you could escape to anywhere in the world where would it be? It would probably be on a deserted shore of the most beautiful beach in the world, pina colada in hand (virgin, of course).

2. What song do you play when you are by yourself in the car? Whichever one makes me sing the loudest!

3. If you had a night to yourself, and money was no object, what would you do? I would grab a girlfriend, go out to the most fabulous restaurant (okay, so maybe just go crazy at Five Guys), do some shopping, hit a movie and then top it off with a hot chocolate or double chocolate frappuccino at Starbucks.

4. What is your guilty pleasure? The chocolate I keep hidden from my family.

5. What is the farthest place you have traveled away from your home? Probably Acapulco, but it will be the eastern Caribbean next week!

6. Last book that you couldn't put down? The Book Thief

7. When you want to escape into another time, what movie do you watch? Something like Some Kind of Wonderful or Say Anything.

8. What is your favorite local escape? The aforementioned Five Guys Burgers & Fries and a good movie.

9. How do you escape on a budget? Head up the canyon for a good hike with friends, take a picnic lunch to the park, or put the kids down to bed and curl up with a good book.

10. Best food you've ever had while on vacation. A coconut shave ice during our trip to Kauai.
